Tigran Avinyan

Last updated: May 29, 2026

Tigran Avinyan served as Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia from 2018 to 2021, one of the key figures in the post-Velvet Revolution government. He subsequently became Mayor of Yerevan, the capital and Armenia’s largest city, a position that makes him one of the most visible Civil Contract officials outside the central government.

Groong episodes covering Avinyan address his tenure as deputy prime minister, Yerevan municipal governance, and his place within Civil Contract’s leadership structure as the party campaigns in the June 2026 parliamentary elections.
