👤 Gev Iskajyan has appeared on the Groong podcast — see their guest profile and interviews →

Gev Iskajyan is a journalist and analyst who has covered the Nagorno Karabakh conflict and its humanitarian dimensions from the ground. He reported from Stepanakert and other parts of Artsakh during the Lachin Corridor blockade — one of the few journalists providing direct eyewitness accounts of conditions inside the besieged republic during the 2022–2023 period — and continued reporting through the September 2023 Azerbaijani offensive that ended Armenian presence in the region. See his guest page for his full episode history on Groong.

Groong has featured Iskajyan as a guest repeatedly, drawing on his direct experience in Artsakh to provide the kind of on-the-ground reporting that is difficult to obtain from outside the region. His appearances cover the day-to-day reality of life under blockade, the collapse of Armenian institutions in Karabakh, the ethnic cleansing of the population, and the post-exodus situation of Artsakh Armenians in Armenia.

His reporting and analysis offer a dimension of the Karabakh story that complements the geopolitical and diplomatic coverage that dominates most Western media — the lived experience of the people directly affected by decisions made in Baku, Yerevan, Moscow, and Brussels.
