Last updated: May 29, 2026

Bright Armenia is an Armenian liberal-democratic opposition party that was one of the few forces to gain parliamentary seats in the 2018 and 2021 elections. The party was long associated with Edmon Marukyan, who led it until accepting an appointment as Ambassador-at-Large under the Pashinyan government — a move that drew criticism from opposition supporters who viewed it as co-optation.

Groong episodes covering Bright Armenia examine the party’s direction, its platform in the June 2026 elections, and its positioning within the fractured liberal and pro-Western opposition space.
