Artur Vanetsyan served as the director of the National Security Service (NSS) of Armenia from 2018 to 2019, appointed by Pashinyan after the so-called “Velvet Revolution” before breaking with the ruling party. He subsequently founded the Homeland Party and became one of the opposition figures critical of the Pashinyan government’s handling of Armenia’s security and foreign policy.
Groong episodes covering Vanetsyan examine his political trajectory from a Pashinyan ally to opposition leader, the Homeland Party’s platform, and its prospects in the June 2026 parliamentary elections.
